Who we are
Am I A Carer?
Not sure if you are a carer? Carers can be children or adults whose lives are affected by caring for a family member, friend or neighbor who relies on them for help. This could be you if the person you care for has: a physical or learning disability; a long term or terminal illness; sensory impairment, mental health needs; or substance dependency. The reasons family or friends may need our support can vary. If you care for someone on a regular basis, we are here to help you. Do you support have a family member, friend or neighbour who:
- Couldn’t manage without your help due to care needs?
- You provide support with mobility, around the house or out and about
- You help with their personal care e.g. getting dressed or washed?
- Regularly needs your emotional support?
- Needs your help with appointments, shopping, daily tasks, budgeting or with communication?
If you answer “yes” to any combination of the above, you are carer.
